Of late I’ve been reading Murikami on the way to and from work. Reading Murikami reminds me of being in Japan (funny that!) mostly because of all the place names and Japanesey things but also because I read Norwegian Wood while I was in Japan.
Today on the subway I was in my own little Murikami world and overheard someone listening to Eminem on their ipod and thought it was peculiar to hear American music on the subway in Japan. Then I realised I wasn’t in Japan. BAM.
Also, it wouldn’t be peculiar to hear American music in Japan… early morning fail all around.
